Sizing Alabaster Chandeliers for Foyers and Entryways
Share
An entryway fixture is often the first lighting piece guests notice. With alabaster, scale matters even more because the stone has visual weight and a softer glow than clear glass.
Measure the Open Space
Look at the width of the foyer, the ceiling height and nearby doors or stairs. A chandelier should feel present without blocking movement, views or door swing.
Think in Layers
Very tall foyers may need a taller chandelier body or multi-tier form. Smaller entryways may work better with a semi-flush alabaster ceiling light or a compact pendant.
Check Hanging Height
Leave comfortable clearance under the lowest point of the fixture. In open stair areas, also check how the fixture looks from the landing and upper floor.
Plan Before Production
For oversized or custom entryway lighting, confirm dimensions, suspension length, canopy size and installation conditions before production begins.
